About Tactical Silat kali

Tactical Silat is a modern approach to the ancient martial art of Silat, integrating traditional Indonesian and Filipino martial arts with contemporary concepts of battlefield and self-defense. It emphasizes efficiency, situational awareness, and the use of improvised weaponry for real-world combat and defense, making it a highly adaptable system for modern scenarios like street confrontations. It is the marketing front for Chakra V Silat (Indonesia) and KDOE Eskrima (Philippines) . We have obtained permissions to run this concurrently or seperately as we deemed fit.

Tactical Silat often combines elements from Indonesian Silat and Filipino Kali, a system known for its weapon-based training, including impact weapons, blades, and firearms.

Focus on Self-Defense:

The system is designed for practical application in self-defense scenarios, such as muggings or home invasions.

Efficiency and Adaptability:

It focuses on techniques that are quick and effective in incapacitating an aggressor, adapting to various opponents, environments, and situations.

Situational Awareness:

Practitioners are trained to read their surroundings, identify threats, and utilize their environment to their advantage.

Improvised Weapons:

Tactical Silat teaches the use of everyday objects—like keys, belts, or pens—as defensive tools, reflecting the battlefield origins of some Silat styles.

Full-Body Combat:

The practice incorporates a full range of techniques, including strikes, grappling, throws, and joint locks, leveraging every part of the body for offense and defense.

Global Reach:

While deeply rooted in Southeast Asian martial traditions, the "Tactical Silat" approach has contacts and organizations in various parts of the world, such as the USA and Singapore.

Tactical Silat-Kali is a combination of Silat and Penantukan (one aspect of Filipino Martial Arts)

It is Dr Hadi's brainchild eversince the crossover experience with several Kali masters. Seeing the possible potential in combining both arts into one system, he went on to develop TACTICAL SILAT which uses core concept to develop 1001 techniques rather than the need to memorise  1001 techniques.
